Agility, Speed, & Explosiveness training

Coaches, Presidents, and Athletic Directors:

My name is Joe DelSardo.  I attended Seton LaSalle High School where I played football and basketball.  I went on to start at Wide Receiver for the University of Pittsburgh.  In  recent years I have been doing Personal Training.  My main focus is on Agility, Speed, and Explosiveness.  I do a number of Plyometric, Balance, and Functional Speed movements to achieve this.  I work with a number of teams and athletes throughout the WPIAL.  Many of the teams I work with a partner Mike Semplice.  I have worked with athletes on all levels from Middle School all the way up to the NFL.  I work with Division 1 players, in Lacrosse, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Baseball, and Hockey.  I also work with a few NFL Players in the off-season.  Some of the teams I have worked with are Seton-LaSalle Football, Mt.Lebanon Girls Basketball and Lacrosse, and a number of other athletes throughout the WPIAL.  Training regimens are evolving just as the sports we play are evolving as well.  I teach kids to use their strengths while still maintaining their athleticism.  I also make sure to get the full potential out of each athlete and except nothing less than their best effort.  ”Effort surpasses Talent.”  If any of your teams or any of the players on your teams are interested in working on their Speed and Agility please contact me through my contact information listed below.  If you are interested and would like for me to come to your school to put your team through a FREE 30 minute workout please contact me.  Also, if you have any youth camps this summer, I would love to come out for one day to do a FREE 20 minute conditioning segment for your programs.  I hope you all have a great spring and look forward to working with you in the future.
Thank you
Joe DelSardo

Reminders from Brian

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to send you all a reminder of a few of things.

the All-American Pre Nomination forms are due by Sunday March 20th. If you have any players that you want to pre nominate please fill out the form that was passed out at the rules interpretation meeting and return it to me by email or regular mail by next Sunday the 20th. Remember you can always remove a nomination but you cannot add on after the 20th. So please get those forms in.

We also are still looking for a representative for the all american committee from Division 2 section 1 it will really help your players to have a representative on the committee from Division 2 Section 1, please let me know asap if you can help.

Also I have attached the forms for the Western PA National Tournament team. Please look those over and if you have a freshman thru junior you would like to attend the tryouts please return the form to Coach Lassen. Seniors don’t have to tryout they just need to register with US Lacrosse to play.

If you have any questions about anything covered in this email please let me know. I will be glad to help.

Thank You,

Brian Kattan

Rules Meeting

The mandatory rules meeting for the upcoming season will be on 2/13 at 7pm at The Ellis School auditorium. The beginning year coaches association meeting will proceed that meeting at 6pm in the cafeteria. Thanks!

Why play at Waynesburg University

Attached you will find my letter to recruits. I am loosing six seniors, have three solid players who made a deposit and I could use three more. Unless you played lacrosse or for that matter any varsity sport in college, I can tell you first hand the demands on your time at most schools specifically division I and II, can be overwhelming! This is especially true for those girls who have poor time-management skill. It’s different at Waynesburg because our administration stresses academics over athletics. As a past high school coach and father of a former college lax-player, I am extremely understanding and excuse every girl who has a conflict or even a “bad hair day!”

With that having been said, I am building a low-stress but competitive NCAA Division III program, which is primarily made up with girls from Western-PA and Northern West Virginia. Bethany College is fielding a women’s team next year and if Grove City sponsors it’s club team, we will have enough schools in the PAC (Presidents Athletic conference), to have a play-off. Long story short, if you have a senior who’s a good student; passionate about lacrosse and hasn’t committed elsewhere, please forward this attachment to her.

I appreciate your time and consideration of my request, and hope you and your team have a New Year filled with good health, great memories and much success.

Respectfully yours,

     Thomas Neil Zacoi
